BRANDL TALOS advised Capiton on the acquisition of Mauer + Partner GmbH

German private equity firm Capiton, advised by Lupp + Partner (Kerstin Kopp) as lead transaction counsel, acquires a majority stake in German Kutterer Mauer AG, a global manufacturer of closures and closure solutions.

BRANDL TALOS advised Capiton in connection with the acquisition of the Austrian business of the Kutterer Mauer Group. The BRANDL TALOS team was led by Markus Arzt and Roman Rericha and further included Adrian Zuschmann.

The Kutterer Mauer Group designs and produces high-quality innovative products and is active in various endsegments including cosmetics, pharma (clean room products) and food which allows a strong pipeline of new lightweight and easily recyclable products. Capiton invests in SME’s located mainly in the DACH region. They focus primarily on profitable companies with a turnover of between €50 and €300 million and also partner with co-investors to realise much larger investments. In acquiring Kutterer Mauer AG, Capiton reinforced its commitment to continue their growth strategy.
