BRANDL TALOS advised KOMPAS on its Series A investment in prewave

Press release • Venture Capital & Start Ups from Adrian Zuschmann, Roman Rericha, Raphael Toman

Prewave just announced its 11m Series A funding round. It was co-led by KOMPAS, a Danish based venture capital firm focusing on businesses that accelerate the digital transformation and industrial automation across the built environment, and Ventech.

Further, pre-wave’s early-stage investors aws Gründerfonds, IST cube, seed + speed, Segnalita, Speedinvest and Working Capital Fund participated in the round. Prewave is a spin-off from Vienna University of Technology and was founded in 2017 by Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger. The company uses an AI-powered platform to analyse millions of online sources in more than fifty languages to find, categorise and directly address the risks that might impact supply chains.

A team from BRANDL TALOS led by Roman Rericha with the support of Adrian Zuschmann, Elena Ciresa and Raphael Toman advised lead-investor KOMPAS in relation to the transaction. Ventech has been advised by Herbst Kinsky (Philipp Kinsky and Angelika Kurz) and Prewave by WMWP Rechtsanwälte (Paul Koppenwallner).
