Visma announced the acquisition of Finmatics, a fast-growing provider of pre-accounting software, serving more than 1,200 accounting offices, Corporates and SMB’s in Austria and Germany. With this strategic acquisition Visma broadens its core product offering to accountants in the DACH-region.

Finmatics provides an AI-powered autonomous accounting solution that supports professional accountants by streamlining and automating financial processes like invoice handling and exchange of accounting data across systems, freeing up valuable time and resources for more value-creating advisory services to clients. Visma is a leading provider of mission-critical cloud software, with revenue of € 2.8 billion in 2024, 16,400 employees and 2 million customers across Europe and Latin America.

A BRANDL TALOS team led by Roman Rericha and further supported by Markus Arzt and Daniel Habich acted as lead counsel the sellers of Finmatics consisting of the Founders and institutional investors. The Finamtics deal team consisted of Markus Gremmel, Christoph Prieler, Patrick Sagmeister, Anna Minihold and Christian Klemm. Visma has been advised by a Wolf Theiss-team led by Sarah Wared and supported by Lukas Plösch, Niko Wollner and Katharina Johler.
