No-nonsense internships
Interns at BRANDL TALOS take on legal tasks from day one and support our lawyers in providing the best possible service to our clients. After a general onboarding and training by student colleagues, they work independently on enquiries from the team and are always given the entire context and file access. We are convinced that an internship should not present an artificial working atmosphere but should offer a low-threshold introduction to practice.
Come as you are
That is why we do not set any minimum requirements for our applicant profile. Internships at BRANDL TALOS are open to students of all law degree programmes, regardless of how advanced they are in their studies or how much practical experience they already have. We are looking for committed interns who are willing to discover new areas of law and who would like to contribute to the work of the teams with their own solutions and ideas.
Walk the new way of law with us
If the cooperation works well on a personal and professional level, we are always happy to see an internship turn into a permanent position. Over the years, we have seen and continue to see, numerous aspiring young lawyers grow alongside us well beyond their graduation.
The application period for our summer internships runs from 11 October 2023 to 31 January 2024. If we receive a high volume of applications before the deadline, we reserve the right to close the application earlier.
Interview dates are scheduled for February 2024.
We are aware that for many applicants an internship is their first direct contact with a law firm. That is why we aim to create a relaxed atmosphere for the interviews to ease the nervousness of applicants. Our group interviews are about getting to know the candidates and evaluating a mutual “fit” – not about testing legal expertise. This meeting takes place in the presence of HR, a lawyer and a student research assistant. We invite up to 6 candidates per meeting.
Do you feel uncomfortable in larger groups? No problem – we are happy to take this into consideration and offer individual appointments as an alternative.
Confirmations for our 2024 summer internships will be communicated in early March 2024.
We make sure keep in touch with our future interns with regular updates and details on the summer programme, so they know what to look forward to.
To make it easier to get started, we provide all interns with a contact person from the respective student team before their first day.
